We have kept many secrets, being told in confidence of intricate plans to create the perfect moment… only to learn that he couldn’t wait another moment and literally proposed on the sidewalk as soon as he got out of the car at home. Perfect!!
We have been surprised in our own store at Brentwood Town Centre, having witnessed him get down on bended knee unannounced immediately after picking the perfect engagement ring together!
We’ve aided some of the most incredible surprises; one man (living in Halifax) told his soon to be fiancé (living in Calgary) to pack her bags for a flight the next morning to a mystery destination! He said, “Pack warm clothes and a bathing suit and I’ll meet you there! See you tomorrow!” He arranged for all her work to be covered, for her friends to drive her to the airport and every little detail along the way. He ended up flying them to Old Quebec where they had their very first trip together 6 years before and surprised her with a romantic proposal (with a hired hidden photographer!) on the cobblestone steps of the gorgeous castle.
We have seen bold gestures, when one customer arranged to have one of Vancouver’s big digital readerboards programmed to say, “Will You Marry Me?” at the perfect moment just as they strolled by after a romantic dinner.
We have seen proposals turn into almost accidental break-ups; one client took his future bride to a beautiful hideaway on Vancouver Island for what was supposed to be a romantic weekend, he instead acted impossibly difficult due to the overwhelming stress of setting up the perfect proposal. At the end of the weekend, he left a note for her to wait for him as she got in the hot tub overlooking the ocean. She opened the note with fear that he was breaking up with her because of his strange behavior all weekend. Instead, the moment turned into the most romantic proposal when he came around the corner to ask her to marry him with an engagement ring and bottle of champagne in hand.
We have experienced proposals being taken to great heights; one elaborate proposal included an incredible helicopter ride to a secluded mountain top with a surprise picnic waiting for her when they arrived.
